Two charged in connection with murder of Brianna Hayes

Two people have been arrested and charged by Carlyle RCMP in connection with the murder of Brianna Hayes of Oxbow.
On April 24, 2024, Carlyle RCMP received a report of a potential homicide. Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes took charge of the investigation and began working to confirm the information. This included an initial investigation at the Oxbow landfill. No human remains were located.
As a result of the investigation, an adult female was located deceased in a rural location in the RM of Moose Mountain around noon on April 25. Investigators do not believe there are any additional victims. Her death is a homicide.
The adult female has been identified as 28-year-old Brianna Hayes from Oxbow, SK. Her family has been notified and victim services made available to them.
24-year-old Taylor Japp from Oxbow, SK, is charged with 2nd degree murder, Section 235, Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Monday, April 29, 2024 (Information #90532756).
27-year-old Tyler Shaw from Gainsborough, SK has been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder, Section 240, Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on April 26.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes continues to investigate. They ask anyone with information about Brianna’s death, or who interacted with her from April 22 to 24, to report it by calling 310-RCMP.
