The world lost a radiant soul on March 9, 2025, when Abagail (Abby) Breanne Korth was set free of her pain after a brave and tenacious battle with bone cancer. Abby passed away in her sleep surrounded by loved ones at the Saint Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Born on December 7, 2000, at the Saint John Regional Hospital in New Brunswick, Abby truly lived her life to the fullest. She inspired countless others around her to push their boundaries and chase their dreams. As a skilled welder and free spirit, Abby embraced life wholeheartedly. After her journeys in New Brunswick and Saskatchewan, Abby and her fiancé, Seth Kennedy, set roots in Winnipeg with their two cats, Toothless and Mabel.
Abby is survived by her devoted fiancé and best friend, Seth Kennedy; sister, Annabelle Korth; mother, Koreena Korth (Baxter); father, David Korth; uncle, Doug Korth; grandmother, Pam Kaye; and a host of relatives who held her dear to their hearts.
To honor Abby’s vibrant spirit, a celebration of her life will take place on March 22 at Wapella Memorial Arena. In place of flowers, the family encourages a donation to the Saint Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit, where Abby was treated with such compassion and kindness during her time there.
