McNaughton High drama heading to provincials with ‘The Pitch’

McNaughton High School is heading to the Provincial Drama Festival in Moose Jaw this week after their play “The Pitch” was selected as one of the top two plays at Regionals.
The Region 5 Drama Festival was held in Balgonie the weekend of April 18.
Both Balgonie’s play “Queens” and McNaugthon’s play “The Pitch” were selected to compete at Provincials.
The Provincial Drama Festival is April 30 to May 2 in Moose Jaw at the Centennial Auditorium in Peacock School.
There will be a final community performance of “The Pitch” at the McNaughton Drama Theatre this Tuesday, April 28 at 7:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased from cast or crew, or by phoning the school office.

• Unsung Hero: Julia McConnell
• Certificates for Technical excellence: Phoeme Mactal and Isabelle Tilley (costumes); Krianne Juliano and Joy Chung (sets and backstage crew); Nathen Bitz (follow-spot)
• Certificate for Acting Excellence: Phoeme Mactal
• Medallion for Technical Excellence: Via Obligar - sound design and operation
• Runner-Up to the Mary Ellen Burgess Award for Acting Excellence: Kane Dodds
• Runner-up to a Best Stage Manager: Mya Fidelak
• Runner-up to Best Visual Production
• Runner-up to Best Technical Production
• Best Technical Crew
• Runner-up to Best Overall Production and Provincial Qualifier
