Carlyle Fun Dayz is just around the corner

It is happening once again and is only weeks away. On June 26-28 Carlyle Fun Dayz will be set up and ready to go on the grounds at the Carlyle Sports Arena. This event is geared toward all ages and last year the weather was great, and the entrance gate saw around 2,000 people attending.

This year the excitement will continue with activities for everyone. It will be a packed weekend of fun, music and celebrating another school year-end, as the last day of school is June 26. This will be a great way to celebrate the beginning of summer holidays.

Canuck Amusement Carnival will be returning for the second year. Whether you enjoy the thrill of the rides or the chance to win a teddy bear, they will have it for you. There will be a wide range of adult rides and kids’ rides, treats, and games. A day pass is what is needed and will allow a person to ride or play games all day long.

On the arena floor there will be a craft and trade show. It will be on June 27-28 and has no admission fee. It is the hope to have 50 vendors catering to the needs of people’s likes and wants.

Starting on Friday night, June 26, the bands will hit the stage beginning with REIN and Switch. Saturday the music keeps going, and around 2 pm the stage will come alive starting with Winsome Kind, followed by The Leftovers. Up next will be Wonderland and the evening will finish with Dr. Rocktopus.

This is not all. Saturday morning starts with breakfast by the Carlyle District Lions Club and then off to main street for the parade. The parade will have a designated route that travels through the town. The streets were packed last year, and the parade had a wide variety of floats by local and area businesses.
This is an event that people do not want to miss. It is filled with fun, laughter, and a great opportunity to socialize with family and friends. If a person wishes to volunteer, they can contact chairman Tim Sedor, president of the Carlyle District Lions Club. Volunteers are always in great demand, and it helps make the work much easier.
